This training program is designed to introduce nurses to emergency nursing and is appropriate for new grads, RN’s with general nursing experience, as well as nurses with no previous emergency nursing experience. The program is based on Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) curriculum and includes: EKG, Ethical/legal issues, Assessment & priority setting, Cardiac & respiratory emergencies, Medical emergencies, Psychiatric emergencies, Toxins & environmental emergencies, Substance Abuse, Urological emergencies, Abdominal emergencies, Trauma, OB/GYN, Facial/ENT emergencies, Pediatric emergencies, Burns, Disasters, Ocular emergencies, STDs/Sexual Assault and more… Basic EKG recognition skills are a prerequisite 2 week advanced registration is required- for pre-course study.
